GLIS contest winner at the Jo Daviess Carroll Area Vocational Center.
As part of the second year CAD/GIS program at the AVC, Margaret Grommes worked on a cooperative program with the Jo Daviess County Conservation Foundation and the Northwest Illinois Chapter Prairie Enthusiasts. Her project developed a GIS to help identify locations that might harbor remnants of prairie.
