Law Enforcement Students are getting it done "Quickly and Efficiently"

Officer Jim Marsh, a retired Chicago Police Officer who worked as an instructor at the Chicago Police Academy, has perfected the art of speed cuffing. He further developed a comprehensive training program that he shared with the AVC Law Enforcement Class.

Earlier in the school year, the students learned the nomenclature of the handcuff and received instruction in basic handcuffing techniques. Officer Marsh's training took this 2 steps further which provides the students with more confidence in using handcuffs, and in preparing them for staying safe in a street situation where a suspect may need to be taken into custody.

All of the students partook in the training and all of them developed the speed-cuffing skill quite well. Though practice makes perfect, the training and practice they will continue to receive here in the AVC Law Enforcement class is a perfect catapult for future police work.
